SKYLABS OBC WITH COBHAM GAISLER NOEL-V IP CORE
Yesterday at SpaceTechExpoEU we have announced the use of Cobham Gaisler technology in our new product.
Mr. Dejan Gačnik, the CTO of SkyLabs, proudly announced that SkyLabs team have successfully integrated the NOEL-V processor IP core from Cobham Gaisler into SkyLabs’ new NANOhpm-obc on-board computer. The new OBC is going to be launched on-board of the TRISAT-R satellite, primed by Univerza v Mariboru, on the maiden flight of VEGA-C, planned in 2022. By that, NOEL-V will probably become the first RISC-V processor architecture flown in Space and thus opening a new era in space computing systems. SkyLabs is proud to reach another important milestone on the journey, now also working together with Cobham Gaisler technology, and are looking forward to commercial projects ahead.
