SkyLabs is proud to join the Poseidon consortium under ESA’s IRIS² program

We're excited to announce our role in Poseidon, ESA's ambitious new initiative to revolutionize maritime safety, surveillance and resilience across Europe — selected within the IRIS² Low-LEO Pre-operational and De-risking Consolidation Phase.

Joining forces with some of Europe's most prominent space and technology leaders — OHB Italia (Prime Contractor), Alén Space, DWave, e-GEOS, GMV, Leonardo, MBI and Thales Alenia Space Italia — SkyLabs brings its expertise to a mission that matters: giving Europe an independent, resilient view of its own maritime domain.

Poseidon will fuse VDES vessel tracking, visible and thermal Earth observation, and radio-frequency sensing — relayed through IRIS² secure connectivity — to deliver near-real-time monitoring anywhere, even in the most remote polar waters. Think dark vessel detection, illegal fishing surveillance, border security, search and rescue, environmental protection, and safeguarding critical offshore infrastructure.

SkyAI solutions supporting the platform's payload data management, delivering:

• High-performance payload data processing across Earth Observation, telecom, data processing and security services
• On-board multispectral imagery processing
