SkyLabs exhibited at the Small Satellite Conference 2025 at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Our team presented the latest advancements in the NANOsky™ avionics product family, featuring flight-proven communication systems and marking the U.S. debut of our NANOhpc-obc high-performance on-board computer.

NANOsky™ Avionics
With the NANOsky platform, we demonstrated how advanced reliability features traditionally reserved for larger spacecraft can be delivered in a compact form.
Key resilience features included:
- SEE immunity and advanced error mitigation techniques
- Three-level Fault Detection, Isolation, and Recovery (FDIR) strategy
- Selective redundancy for critical subsystems
- Rigorous component selection for long-duration missions
Optimized for micro- and small-scale satellites, our avionics provided consistent in-orbit performance across diverse mission profiles.


NANOsky™ Communications Suite
We also highlighted our NANOsky communications suite, developed from over a decade of RF engineering expertise. The suite included:
- CCSDS-compliant S-band TM/TC solutions (NANOlink(-S)-base)
- Enhanced S-band modules with integrated amplifiers and dual-path options (NANOlink(-S)-boost, boost-dp)
- Compact UHF/VHF full-duplex transceivers (NANOcomm-2)
- High-speed secure downlink solutions (NANOcast)
Designed for low power consumption, secure data handling, and hardware-level robustness, the suite enabled sustained operations in demanding LEO environments.
NANOhpc-obc – High-Performance Onboard Processing for Autonomous Missions
At SmallSat 2025, we introduced the NANOhpc-obc to the U.S. market for the first time. This multi-core on-board computer was purpose-built for AI-enabled, in-orbit decision making and advanced payload data handling.
With the NANOhpc-obc, we addressed the growing need for:
- Secure data routing for next-generation LEO missions
- Real-time onboard analytics
- Autonomous fault management
